4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the circumstances described below.
4.1 Service Providers
We engage third-party vendors and service providers to perform functions on our behalf, including cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery, customer support tooling, analytics, and security monitoring. These providers access information only as necessary to perform their services and are bound by confidentiality obligations and data processing agreements.
4.2 Subscriber Instructions
When Zenjuries acts as a data processor, we share or disclose Subscriber data solely as directed by the Subscriber (the data controller) or as necessary to provide the Service under the Terms of Service.
4.3 Business Transfers
If Zenjuries is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, information about you may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Service prior to any such transfer and any change in privacy practices.
4.4 Legal Requirements and Safety
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Zenjuries, our customers, or the public; or (d) respond to an emergency that threatens the life or safety of any person.
4.5 With Your Consent
We may share information with third parties when you have given us your explicit consent to do so.
4.6 Aggregated or De-Identified Data
We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual or Subscriber with third parties for research, marketing, analytics, or other lawful purposes.
5. Insurance-Specific Data Handling
5.1 Claims and Coverage Data
The Zenjuries platform is designed to process claims records, policy documents, coverage analysis inputs, and related insurance data submitted by Subscribers. This data is processed on behalf of and under the instructions of the Subscriber as data controller. Zenjuries does not use claims or coverage data submitted by one Subscriber to train models or generate outputs for any other Subscriber.
5.2 No Protected Health Information
The Service is not designed or intended to process "protected health information" (PHI) as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), 45 C.F.R. § 160.103. Subscribers must not upload or transmit PHI to the Service without a fully executed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Zenjuries. To inquire about a BAA, contact [email protected].
5.3 Claimant and End User Data
Subscribers may submit personal data relating to claimants, employees, and other End Users to the platform. Subscribers are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis for submitting such data and for providing appropriate notice to those individuals. Zenjuries processes End User data solely as directed by the Subscriber.
5.4 Regulatory Compliance
Insurance data is subject to a complex and evolving regulatory landscape, including state insurance department requirements and data privacy laws. Subscribers are solely responsible for ensuring that their use of the Service complies with all applicable insurance regulations in each jurisdiction in which they operate. Zenjuries does not provide legal or regulatory compliance advice.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
6.1 What We Use
We use cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve the Service and to deliver relevant content and advertising.
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Strictly Necessary | Required for the Service to function. These cannot be disabled. Examples: session authentication cookies, CSRF protection tokens. |
| Functional | Remember your preferences and settings (e.g., language, display options) to improve your experience. |
| Analytics | Help us understand how visitors interact with the Service (e.g., pages visited, time on site, error rates). Data is aggregated and anonymized where possible. |
| Marketing | Used to deliver relevant advertising and track the effectiveness of our campaigns. May be set by us or by third-party advertising partners. |
6.2 Your Cookie Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when a new cookie is set. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service. For more information on managing cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.
6.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no uniform standard for how to respond to such signals, the Service does not currently alter its data collection practices in response to Do Not Track signals. We will reassess this position if a uniform standard is established.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. The criteria we use to determine retention periods include:
- —The duration of your subscription and any post-termination retrieval period (see Section 7.4 of the Terms of Service — 30 days after termination).
- —Our legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and regulatory recordkeeping requirements.
- —Whether a dispute, claim, or investigation is pending or reasonably anticipated.
- —Our legitimate business interests in maintaining service quality and security.
When personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Where deletion is not immediately possible (e.g., data stored in backup archives), we isolate the data from further processing until deletion is possible.
8. Security
Zenjuries maintains commercially reasonable administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of personal information. These measures include encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher, encryption of sensitive data at rest, role-based access controls, regular security assessments, and incident response procedures.
No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a confirmed data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights with respect to your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

| Restriction | Request that we restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. |
| Objection | Object to our processing of your personal information based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes. |
| Opt Out of Marketing | Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting [email protected]. |
| Withdraw Consent | Where processing is based on consent, withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. |
Please note that if you are an End User of a Subscriber's Zenjuries account (e.g., a claimant or employee), your rights requests should be directed to the Subscriber who controls your data, not to Zenjuries. We will assist Subscribers in responding to such requests as required by law.

In such cases, Zenjuries processes personal data only in accordance with the Subscriber's documented instructions and our Terms of Service. Subscribers who require a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) to satisfy their GDPR obligations should contact [email protected].
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
